About
I create abstract compositions with acrylics, mediums, and mark-making tools to achieve a variety of layered effects. I use collage in some works. I like to maintain a sense of play and discovery while I paint. I love the movement involved in the act of painting and convey that energy in my work. I often paint to music letting the rhythm guide my application of materials. My art is inspired by the woods and waterways near my home, current emotions, place memories, and music.
I live in Williamsburg Va with my life partner Doug Dye, 3 rescue cats, and our 23-year-old rescue chihuahua. I paint in my home studio. I love animals, nature, dance and music. I play guitar and sing.

For me, painting is both a sensory and an analytical experience of self-discovery. I love the movement of painting, and I often play great music and dance as I paint. I'm interested in exploring the endless combinations of the elements of design while I create compelling abstract compositions using acrylics, pastels, markers & collage. The layers tell a story. I hope viewers are pulled in to discover their own truth.
