Wilbie Farm is a diversified vegetable farm on one acre of land on Vashon Island. The small nature of our farm allows us to focus on the soil, the land, and the plants to create the highest quality food.
Soil health is our number one priority. Our small scale allows us to be intentional in every step of the farming process. Some of the practices we use on our farm are: minimal till, crop rotation, cover cropping, composting, and inter planting.
While we are not yet certified organic, this is one of our farming goals. We follow all the guidelines required to become organic, such as using OMRI certified products and not adding harmful chemicals through pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
Use Only Organic Materials Integrated Pest Management Non Gmo Crop Rotation Cover Crops Low Till
We only use OMRI certified products on our farm and grow our vegetables, flowers, and microgreens from organic seeds. We utilize crop rotation to keep the soil healthy and have a balanced environment that doesn't allow pests to take over. We are also a low-till farm, meaning to prep our beds we use occultation and broadforking and rarely till.
