Cannon River Fiber Farm
Farmer
Julie Johnson and her husband Tim Gallagher enjoy raising alpacas and angora goats for fiber, bees for honey, and laying hens for eggs on their 58-acre farm in southern Minnesota. They are both health care providers by profession (pharmacists) and pride themselves on raising and caring for animals by ensuring quality nutrition and a safe loving environment. Products include mill spun yarn, processed locally, batt, fleeces, locks, and felted products made in house, fresh chicken eggs and wildflower honey. New products this year include natural, hand-dyed yarns from flowers and plants on the farm
