Our mission at Tae-Gu Kimchi is to spread the love of kimchi. A mother and daughter duo that aims to provide great tasting authentic kimchi to the DMV area. We offer three flavors of napa cabbage kimchi, Classic, Extra Spicy, and Vegan. We strive to educate customers of the many health benefits of kimchi and help raise awareness and support for the AAPI community.
I founded Tae-Gu Kimchi in 2020 during the pandemic. After being laid off from my restaurant position as a chef, I decided to pursue a life long dream of selling my mother's authentic kimchi recipe. We currently operate several farmers markets in the DMV through Fresh Farm, and other independent markets, We also sell our products online and in a few grocery stores. Since 2020 we have grown our team from just me and my mother to about 5 farmers market staffers and three production employees. In 2023 we expect to grow even more and continue to create more job opportunities in our local community. We have established our selves as one of the best kimchi makers in DC and hope to be able to join your wonderful community to support our mission to "Spread the Love of Kimchi."
