I'm a longtime Northfielder I retired from the Northfield Public Library after 30 years working in a variety of positions including children's programming. I also created many posters, flyers & maps for the library. When I retired I was inspired to begin the Northfield Boomerang Bag project where durable fabric is collected and volunteers sew it into reusable bags thus reducing single use plastic bags and fabric waste. I received so much fabric that some of it wasn't suitable for bags so I started creating my own upcycled items. This evolved into KNess Designs and for the past 3 years I have been upcycling jeans, upholstery fabric, fabric samples & remnants, leather, curtains and table clothes into jackets, purses, pouches, fab-baskets, table runners and bags. I have been a vendor at RMF for 3 years.
I have a BS in Art/Fiber Art/Art History.
