Black Earth Gardens is a local, regenerative farm offering high quality, sustainably-grown vegetables, fruits, and herbs. We specialize in growing produce of cultural importance to Black and African Diaspora communities in Eastern Iowa, emphasizing those staples that are difficult to find elsewhere in our area.

Black Earth Gardens is committed to sustainable and regenerative agriculture that leaves the soil, air, water, and wildlife healthier than when we started. All of our produce is grown with organic practices, and we never use GMOs. Going above and beyond organic requirements, we strive to diversify the soil microbiome, reduce tillage, protect and support pollinators and native species, improve water quality, and sequester carbon.
