About

I have been in business since 1977 the year after I graduated from Loudoun Valley High School. My wife and I reside on our 50 acre farm on the west side of Lovettsville. We bought the vacant property in 1991 and have built it up to a fully functional farm and residence that we have raised 3 children to adulthood. I raise Angus feeder steers to slaughter weight, 20 on the farm at all times, 60 female ewes that lamb in two different time frames to be able to have lamb products year round, chicken---200 egg layers and 300 broilers throughout the summer, and some turkeys for Thanksgiving, all animals processed for personal use and off the farm sales. I also make and sell quality hay and straw, sell and install agriculture fences and animal self waterers, all in the Northern Virginia area.

Production Practices

My animals are always out on the pastures, never confined to a lot. We add some non-gmo grain to their diet for protein and animal welfare, especially during the fall and winter months. During the winter they also are fed the hay that we have harvested off certain fields that I lease. Daily Hormones and anti-biotics are illegal to use by the FDA. Any sick animals are doctored by the local licensed veterinarian. We have plenty of sheds and barns for the animals to enter during in climate weather and summer heat.
