As a southerner, I was blessed to be raised around a plethora of style. The influence of the Delta has a strong resonance with me, as does the independence of the Appalachian area. A deep sense of family and respect, combined with a strong feeling of history, all pervade my early artistic endeavors. With a base in fine arts, I came to grasp the intricacies associated with creativity, and to appreciate the balance that comes with that searching for real artistry and individualism.

Growing up around a family jewelry business, my perspective on creativity evolved to encompass a broader range of style, and allowed me the ability to interact with a wider cross section of the populace. That in turn provided me with a solid basis for my own search for design. Most of all, I was able to become aware of the fact that each person has a perspective on style, and an appreciation for design.

I continue to challenge myself to distill those many influences into designs that would be identified as my style. In recent years, I have progressed to a point of appreciation of the correlation between design and creativity, what I call the consummate dance.

And what is a dance without music.

That simple realization has opened up an entire spectrum of design which brings together the influence of music, from the blues of the Delta to the honky-tonks of Nashville. This dance has produced my current line of jewelry, integrating guitar strings into my designs.

N harmony jewelry is my way of expressing my appreciation for that breadth of experience and design evolution that I have enjoyed in my life. It is also my way to share that joy with others who wear my designs to define their own spirit and style.
