Peppermint Rose Shop brings a variety of garden goodies, such as produce, seeds, plants and vermicompost. Produce includes alternative varieties of vegetables and herbs that are hard-to-find. (Look for purple lettuce, basil, green beans and okra!) Try something new like sweet potato leaves or malabar spinach for summer alternatives for greens all year round. Handmade goods include plant-based foaming soaps, candles and reusable car air diffusers.

I believe in having a sustainable garden and a sustainable life. I'm a master gardener and master composter with my license to sell seeds and plants with ODAFF. I've trained at workshops from OSU Extension at Oklahoma County for skills in integrated pest management, choosing to not use pesticides used in my garden or yard. I inspect plants manually and remove insects manually or grow crops that are not affected by pests, such as snake gourd.
I compost and vermicompost with worm bins. I have pet rescue rabbits which also provide nitrogen-rich cold compost for a sustainable homestead. I have a permaculture design to my gardens, featuring strawberries in flower beds, blueberries for shrubs and apple trees in my front yard, which include my perennial crops. I rotate crops, growing salad, peas and cool season veggies and changing to tomatoes, peppers, eggplants in the summer. I also grow sun-loving greens to keep a variety of items available. I have raised beds and test the soil frequently to maintain good NPK and do not have to till other than working the soil and incorporating fresh compost and vermicompost throughout the growing season.
