I produce maple syrup in Hillsboro, VA on Short Hill Mountain. I have been doing so for 8 years now.

Production Practices
I tap several hundred maple trees growing wild on Short Hill Mountain and transport the sap in a series of tubing lines about a half mountain down the mountain to storage tanks. I then concentrate the sap and transport it to a wood fired evaporator. It is then further concentrated by a process of boiling until it becomes syrup. I then filter and bottle the syrup for sale.
