Hopscotch works with low income kids in Portland schools, providing nutritious, accessible food. We've now completed one of the largest aquaponics farms in the country which is producing vegetables as we speak. The farm was built by 15 students from Jefferson High School in Portland. It is very large, holding 7,000 plants at any one time. We plan on building two more "farms" in low income communities over the next year.

We are urban farmers, growing crops year around, right in the Portland urban area.
We utilize aquaponics as our growing method. Optimal growing conditions in a controlled setting also us to have about ten harvests annually.
