Guerra’s hand crafted seasoning does not contain MSG, Sugar, Wheat, Coloring agents, or preservatives.
Use Only Organic Materials
Farming peppers has its challenges due to each variety having its own flavor profile, and Scoville heat scale is different for each fruit. which are planted separately to minimize cross-pollination. We plant natural barriers to control cross-pollination, and allow each variety space to flourish.
Weeding control is done with a combination of a tractor cultivator, visual inspections, and hand tool techniques.
Natural essential oils are used with organic hemp castile soap for fungus, insect, and disease control.
Water is a precious resource, the use of drip irrigation is an efficient method to retain moisture in our clay loamy soil, which sustains our pepper plants to thrive in the sun.
Harvest is done by hand picking all the fruit from the field during the month of August through October.
After the fruits are picked they are sorted, cleaned, and dried for storing.
As a natural farm we are contributing to our soil ecology every year to plant cover crop, flowers for bee pollination, herbs for Insect control, and drought tolerant trees to prevent wind erosion on our dry semi arid land.
We farm organically and as soon as we’re able too, one of our goals is to become certified organic.
