Camellia Pistrina infuses tea and botanicals with vegan pastry. Made in Portland, Oregon. Established in May 2022.
Camellia Pistrina combines the Latin words Camellia Sinensis, "tea plant from China" and Pistrina, "pastry" to translate into Tea Pastry. We utilize local farmer produce, work with local tea distributors, and incorporate depths of flavor into our baked goods.

In the pursuit of recovering from an eating disorder, I became a chef. Over the course of a decade, I battled with Orthorexia Nervosa, an unofficial eating disorder, that highly impacted my relationship with food, myself, and life. Four years ago I moved to Portland, Oregon from San Bernardino, California to establish myself as a plant-based chef and baker in the local food scene. I have branched into entrepreneurial freelance work such as: vegan recipe development, menu creation, and concept creation.
Culinary arts helped repair my relationship with food and I find food relationships to be so interesting and intricate from person to person. Every pastry I make and share with others helps my recovery and is a positive step towards maintaining a healthy relationship with food.
