HabiJax- Habitat For Humanity of Jacksonville
Vendor
Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax- 1981) is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI- 1970s). Our vision is that everyone in our world has a decent place to live. Since 1981, HabiJax has served over 2300 families in Jacksonville through housing services. We also have two Restores which are home improvement outlet stores that are open to the public. 100% of the proceeds from these stores goes back to building affordable housing in Jacksonville. In addition, HabiJax coordinates the Hicks Prep Club which provides mentorship and builds life skills for middle and high school students who live in JHA, Section 8 or HabiJax housing. This program partners with UNF to offer 6-8 full ride scholarships each year to students from the Hicks Prep Club. In the fall of 2021 HabiJax partnered to build the first ever tiny home community in Jacksonville which features 51 fully furnished tiny homes available for short-term transitional rentals. In the beginning of 2022 we partnered with TIAA to renovate Westconnett Park for local students as well. HabiJax provides opportunities for students, court-ordered community service, NCBA, and many other communities in Jacksonville.
