G Cafe Bakery

G Cafe Bakery was started in 2012 at our Branford location, however, the owner, Andrea Corazzini started this passion in Caracas, Venezuela more than 20 years ago. While living in the heart of Venezuela Andrea met two german bakers that changed his relationship to bread completely. He remembers the bakers being so passionate about their bread that tears would roll down their face when they smelled the uncooked sourdough.
In an interview with a local paper, Andrea says, “The ​“G” in G Cafe originally stood for German, after the bread made at the Whole G Bakery. Now it also stands for ​“good, great, and grain,”
G Cafe now successfully runs 5 great storefronts in Connecticut; The mother store in Branford, Orange street in new haven, Tweed airport, Chapel street, and our newest location located in East Rock.
The mission for our bakery is for Eurpeans to walk in, taste our authentic products, enjoy our atmosphere, and say it’s just like home.
