We started altering clothing in high school from a desire to express our style and continue that today with Dos Jefes Garments. We source garments from vintage and thrift stores throughout Southeast Michigan and rework them at our studio in New Center. We take time and care in crafting our garments to ensure that you receive a one of a kind piece that you can enjoy for years to come.
We hope you find the same satisfaction in wearing our products that we find in making them.
Production Practices
We cut and sew clothing sourced from thrift and vintage clothing stores to create unique, reworked pieces.
We also offer customization & alteration services. Customers can bring clothing they would like altered or we can source garments for them for an additional fee. Turn around time 1-3 weeks depending on project.

PJ and Sam are a couple who live in Detroit. They love to spend time together, and making and selling clothes is a perfect way to do this. From searching through vintage and thrift stores for the perfect items to use, to creating a brand and selling on multiple online platforms, to cutting and sewing different materials together, it's rare to find these two apart.
