After being in the jerky business for 25+ years, Pete Friederich decided to start his own jerky business where he could bring some of the highest quality jerky to hungry jerky lovers. In 2019, he started Savor Ranch Gourmet Jerky. This included an all-bristket jerky line and turkey jerky. Some of his popular Savor Ranch Jerky flavors included: Sweet & Spicy Brisket, Red Pepper Beef Brisket, Mango Spice Brisket, Savory Smoke Brisket, ...and more!. After the business survived CoVId, he also came out with a second jerky brand this year called, "Dragon's Breath Jerky Company." Here, he was able to bring thicker, firmer jerky and increased flavor and heat level profiles. Some of his Dragon's Breath unique jerky flavors include (but are not limited to): Honey Teriyaki Beef Brisket, Korean BBQ Beef, Sweet Garlic Hot, Between the two brands, one of his jerkies was voted in the top 5 best jerkies in the US. Now, both jerky brands have become very popular and event-goers and online customers regularly buy Savor Jerky and comment on the quality of the meat and their "habit-forming" love of the flavors. In addition to an online store, Pete loves to participate in events in Southern California. He loves talking to customers and always brings, the energy, expertise, education, and obvious passion for what he does and is able to provide to wholesalers and retailers.
Pete has been in the jerky business for more than 25 years now and is well-versed in the production, merchandising, and marketing of jerky. He works with some of the best jerky artisans in the country and wanted to create brands that were well-known for their quality and flavors. At events, he's frequently had customer come back for more because they already ate the entire first bag! Jerky is a meat snack that is great to have in the car, for snacks, on roadtrips, for gift-giving, etc. In addition to his online store, he has enjoyed working with various brick & mortar stores, mobile businesses, fundraisers, breweries & wineries, and much more. He's very proud of the products he puts out there and looks forward to many more years (and products) to come!
