Tiffin Asha is a LGBTQ, BIPOC, woman-owned and operated, small batch Flavorworks company founded by Chef Elizabeth Golay and her wife Sheila Bommakanti.
From the owners:
Sharing our lives together ignited a passion that in 2013 resulted in the creation of Tiffin Asha in Portland, Oregon. It was in that year our South Indian inspired recipes first found an audience, starting as a food cart and later becoming a restaurant until May 2021. Tiffin Asha is now exclusively a specialty foods maker, with an emphasis on creating consistent, small batch, high quality, ethically produced condiments & Flavorworks that are vegan, GF, and Non-GMO Project Verified.
In October of 2022 we introduced our Green Tomato Pickle and Tomato Ginger Pickle to the public through our own e-commerce store. Our unique condiment line is inspired and traditionally rooted by the pickles of South India. The pickles of India are closer to a preserve and can encompass a variety of fruits and or vegetables. Our pickles have two very distinct flavor profiles and the consistency is similar to a savory tomato jam. We are excited to help introduce a new style of condiments to the general public and show how these condiments are not just exclusively for Indian food but are so versatile to our every day foods we eat right here in the northwest.
In October 2023 we introduced our Sticky Masala Chai to our family of Flavorworks and plan to release our spice blends called Gun Powders to the line in early 2025!
Our company represents the diversity of our country and the new generation of flavors and taste profiles we crave. We look forward to bringing the flavors of Tiffin Asha to your farmers markets and the homes of its patrons!
