Oh Sugar Honey Iced Tea

We are a southern style dessert trailer, making and serving sweets that our grandparents passed down to us. Heritage recipes are being handed down less and less, with even fewer people learning how to cook them. With many of them being large enough to feed several dozen people, many people don’t go through the hassle of making them for their small family or even themself.

My families’ recipes have been accumulated in several small town recipe books, including a book called Thanks for the Mammaries , a play on words dealing with our family name, Titsworth. Hence the tongue in cheek name of Oh Sugar. With origins heavy in Texas and The South in general, the recipes I grew up with are a source of comfort and familiarity. Each season had it’s special dessert. Winter was pies and fudge, laden with the pecans that grew from my grandparent’s trees, Spring was lemon bars, Summer brought peach cobbler and banana pudding, with Fall filled with hummingbird cake, pecan pie, and apple crisp.
