About
My name is Chanda Williams and I am the owner of KQs BUTTAs, formerly known as KQ’s
Shea Butta. KQ’s was incepted in 2019 after my mom was diagnosed with Cutaneous
T-cell lymphoma (blood cancer). CTL can cause the skin to become itchy, red,
slightly raised, and scaly; it also causes skin tumors and lesions to form. Sadly,
there is no cure for T-Cell Lymphoma, so patients like my mom are treated for
comfort and quality of life.
The treatments for CTL consist of chemotherapy, phototherapy, radiation, injections and the list goes on. Undergoing all these different treatments wayed heavily on her body, mind, and soul.
Mom would complain that the prescribed ointments made her feel less than a woman because they made her smell like a walking medicine cabinet. This started me on my quest to find a more natural product that would nourish and replenish what nutrients had been stripped away from both her skin and hair. After much research, I decided on a combination of Shea Butter and other natural African butters because of their natural healing benefits.
Shea Butter alone boosts skin moisture, is a natural anti-inflammatory, it can aid in the
healing of cuts and scrapes and is filled with antioxidants.
I made my first jar (Rose Scented) as rose is her favorite.

Hello, my name is Chanda Williams and I am the Owner and CEO of KQs BUTTAs. I am a mom of two beautiful children and a MIMI to two beautiful sassy granddaughters. My family is my world which is why I started making whipped shea butter products, once my mom was diagnosed I wanted natural products for all of us. Currently, I only specialize in a few products, but my list is growing I promise. I do consider myself an entrepreneur "A crazy person who is willing to live a few years creating, and recreating the same thing a thousand times), however, I wouldn't change my life.
