At the age of sixteen, I bought my first cake decorating set to enter in a county fair for my high school culinary course. If you believe in love at first sight, then that is the best way to describe what developed from this simple task.
Over the next several years, I cultivated my passion both on my own and professionally by working at local bakeries as a cake decorator. There I honed my skills and my love of decorating deepened.
Today, I have my own bakery that travels with me across the country as my family follows my husbands career with the United States Marine Corps. My business began as an idea in March 2018 while stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. and came to fruition on the island of O’ahu later that year. As of September 2022, Sugar, Spice, and All Things Iced operates out of Central Florida.
Megan Slaton
Megan is a self taught baker and decorator who has turned a passion into a thriving business. She started baking at the age of sixteen not knowing it would turn into a full blown business she could work to support her family. Megan is also a mom of three, wife to a US Marine, and full time college student pursuing Special Education and Early Elementary Education.
