About

Quench Juice Bar is a female, minority owned, start-up, mobile, cold-pressed juice bar, located in Baltimore, MD, currently offering a variety of natural, fresh, cold pressed juices, loose leaf teas and sea moss, packed with a variety of fruits and vegetables.

Quench Juice Bar, owned by Renee Gordon, a Trinidadian native and young professional who gained her Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the illustrious Howard University in Washington, DC. Hailing from the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Renée has represented her county as a national swimmer from the age of seven to nineteen years old, on an international level, at many swimming competitions worldwide.

Quench Juice Bar is a mobile, cold-pressed juice bar that was conceived shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, as an effort to introduce friends and family to healthy eating habits and maintaining a healthy, balanced diet. The owner, Renée has been enjoying the pleasures of many juice combinations all of her life, and decided to share her tastebuds' experiences with her support group. Since she already had previous experience with the operations of a juice bar, being employed at one during her college years, she was very familiar with the workload that was associated with operating a juice bar.

During the pandemic, Renée started vending juices and cold and flu remedies at the Cleveland Park Farmer's Market in Washington DC, where they were highly requested weekly. She decided to expand her horizon by looking for, and attending many other pop-up shops and farmers markets in the area, sharing her love for juicing and health and wellness, especially in these times of uncertainty.

After our tenure at the Cleveland Park Farmer’s Market, we went on to find other pop up shops and markets around the DC, Maryland and Virginia areas. Some of the other markets were the AfroSoca Love Marketplace held at the Karma Nightclub in Washington, DC, the Capital Market in Capitol Heights, MD, the Ghana Girls pop up shop in NE Washington Dc and the Soul of the City Market in SE Washington, DC.

Recently, Quench has relocated from DC to Baltimore, securing a brick and mortar location in the Downtown/Inner Harbor area. We have noticed that there aren't many juice bars that offer natural juices, smoothies, smoothie bowls, elixirs, and other healthy snacks, and we decided that we would like Baltimore to be the home of our very first storefront. Being a person of color, I know how important it is to share and encourage healthy eating habits with my community because we as a people are prone to many diseases such as obesity and diabetes, which can be controlled and maintained if the proper education is at our fingertips. I envision my storefront not only as a storefront but a place where I can host different wellness workshops and events, geared towards better, healthier eating habits in the community, as well as a place for other young entrepreneurs who want to get their products out to the public.
