About

Currently residing in my hometown, Boise, Idaho, I am an artist focusing on sculpture and metalsmithing. I obtained a Bachelor of Visual Art and Design from Boise State University. During my undergraduate career I studied sculpture and the lost wax casting process, as well as metalsmithing. I was drawn to metalsmithing due to its ability to translate into fashion and wearable art. My inspiration is drawn from all areas of life and the human experience. My goal is to create a mood or feeling with my art. I would love to be able to share the jewelry I create with our local community and have the chance to connect with other vendors and local craftsmen.

In a culture of fast fashion, I am taking the time to honor traditional practices in metalsmithing to create unique high quality jewelry that is crafted to last for years to come. I am intrigued by the ancient processes smiths used before modern machinery and am constantly learning and bringing new tools and techniques into my work. My processes include manipulation of metal with heat, soldering, forming, creating handmade and handwoven chains. I draw a lot of inspiration from living in Idaho and exploring our great outdoors, I want to share that through my jewelry. Part of my process is to collect samples of textures and objects found in nature, sketching when I'm out hiking and incorporating those textures and shapes into my jewelry. The Capital City Public Market has always been a place where high quality craftsmanship is appreciated and it would be great to be a part of that community.

I am a local artist, born and raised in Idaho. I create handmade small batch jewelry using traditional and contemporary metalsmithing techniques and processes. All of my jewelry is handmade by me in my home studio. I draw inspiration from living in Idaho and exploring nature, hiking, camping and rock climbing and studying local flora and fauna. I am excited to potentially be a part of a great community of makers and farmers and artisans.
