Mango Blossom Apiary
Specialty Food Artisan
I am the Director of Apiary Operations and Head Beekeeper at Mango Blossom Apiary.
I was born and raised in The San Fracisco Bay area. I’ve settled into a beautiful neighborhood in Silicon Valley called Blossom Valley. The kind of neighborhood where everyone keeps their lawns green and the flowers blooming. The place where a honeybee would find paradise. I began beekeeping as an effort to increase the number of bees in my garden. Little did I know that bees don’t really like rose plants. So in addition to putting a beehive in my back yard, I started the process of learning the art of beekeeping and also filling my garden with pollinator friendly plants and flowers. Everything for honeybees, hummingbirds and butterflies. Now after five years of keeping bees and 40 hives, Myself and my neighbors have seen an incredible increase in all our fruits and vegetables. More abundant flowers and noticeably more pollinators.
My goal is to propagate the number of honey bees in the south bay. 10 of my hives are in Oak Grove neighborhood, 14 are in Almaden Valley, 8 are in the Santa Teresa neighborhoods and 8 are in Willow Glen . I have been fortunate enough to have healthy and strong hives, allowing my to harvest an abundance of local wildflower honey.

After spending 32 years in the restaurant business, and after my cafe closed down due to covid-19, I was fortunate enough to find a mentor to teach me the art of Apiculture, beekeeping. I started out with 1 hive and have built up my apiary to 40 hives, having harvested 1800 pounds to date in 2022.
