Tia Mirtza's Coquito was started in 2019 by Aileen Nunez, a NJ native who named it after her mom who taught her the family recipe. Coquito is a coconut based holiday cocktail that was originated in Puerto Rico. Offering a rotating menu of seasonal flavors, we've put our own twist to this Caribbean delicacy! Producing the perfect mixer to compliment your favorite rum, this delicious beverage is best enjoyed with family and friends, bringing a taste of Puerto Rico to your home! Aileen Corrigan-Nunez is the owner of Tia Mirtza's Coquito. Originally from NJ, she moved to RVA in 2021 with her husband and 3 cats. She enjoys cooking, reading, dancing and spending time with her loved ones. This small business was created not only to pay homage to her mother, Mirtza, who made the original recipe but to also share a piece of her Latin culture, which always emphasizes celebrating life and community with the world.
