About
A&E Publishing was created by two North Texans who have a love for rescue animals and though writing a children's book series about animal adoption was a great way to teach children at a young age. Audra, our author, and Emily, our illustrator, have been long-time friends and animal lovers. The Friends of Toby Book Series is a series of children's books based on true animal rescue stories and all the adventures and hard times they go through to get adopted. Plus a portion of the proceeds go back to local rescues! Its a great way to teach kids about the importance of loving and adopting animals, while also supporting local rescues in the process!

Audra grew up loving every animal she encountered, from the stray cats to all the animals at the local shelter. She also grew up loving books and writing and graduated college with her Journalism degree. She now works in HR, but in her down time she decided to combine two of her greatest passions, animals and writing!
Audra currently has 4 pets of her own, 2 amazing dogs, her senior boy Duncan, and her tripod, Daisy. And two rambunctious cats who were both "Foster Fails", shy Miss Ren and silly boy Archie. She has also had the pleasure of fostering 11 animals so far and hopes to continue spreading awareness about the importance of adopting rescue animals!
