We are Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certified and it is our goal to provide our animals the best life possible while here on the ranch. Our cattle will always be ethically and humanely raised.
We take pride in providing delicious, nutritious pasture raised beef. Our beef will never be given added hormones or antibiotics. They will always be on pasture and have access to forage and/or hay. Our Brangus and Brangus cross breeding stock receive the same care as the cattle in our beef program. Healthy livestock is the byproduct of healthy soil and healthy, nutritious forage.
Kerrie Goldwater, Owner – I got my start raising pastured poultry on an organic farm in Texas in 2005. That experience ingrained in me the importance of caring not just for the animals but for the land as well. Fast forward to 2018 where an opportunity arose to live on family property in Limestone County, Texas and begin the same process but this time, with cattle. From taking care of the family herd, to starting a cattle company with my husband Wayne in 2020, we have come a long way and are excited for the coming years as we continue implementing regenerative methods and begin adding other livestock on the farm!
Wayne Goldwater, Owner – I am an avid outdoorsman and have been blessed with opportunities to travel and hunt all over the great state of Texas. While hunting on a large cattle ranch in south Texas, I was invited by the owner to spend time with him and help work cattle. That’s where the passion for raising cattle ignited. In 2015 my family bought a small ranch in Limestone County, Texas where we started with three cows. With the help and advice of some great farmers and ranchers that we have met along our journey, the ranching life began for us and wow has it grown. I have also been blessed to have a successful career in law enforcement at one of the top universities in the nation. It has been my dream for as long as I can remember to own my own piece of Texas where I could enjoy the outdoors and raise cattle. We got our chance and have not looked back. Things are moving fast, and we are excited for the next chapters at WK Cattle as we continue to grow and expand!
