About

Amanda Green is a bead artist based in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a former high school teacher, a mother of three, a collector of hobbies, and the opposite of nonchalant.
Bead weaving is a slow practice with a focus on weave pattern and thread tension. Each bead on solid shapes and bases is individually hand stitched. Fringe is added with careful consideration for drape and tension. The result is that every pair of earrings is filled with patience, care, and intention. When treated with care these are long-lasting pieces of wearable art.
Amanda’s work revolves around an exploration of color and geometry in pieces that feel easy and natural. They are made with premium Japanese glass seed beads and high quality beading thread. They are finished with nickel-free ear wires with hypoallergenic options. Amanda’s earrings are accessible statement pieces - as easily worn with jeans and a t-shirt as with a little black dress. Amanda adores the color, texture, and movement of beads. The confidence that wearing such bold accessories evokes is astounding. These earrings are a celebration of art, fashion, and the wearer.
