Cherie Burke is a photographic artist from the Midwest. Her creative force, drawn from her love of Jesus and the world's people groups, cultures, and languages, fuels her nomadic spirit which shows in her work. "There is an education that one can only receive in the classroom of the real world. I've learned that places and moments are special because of the people, past and present, with whom you are privileged to share them - people who may look or sound different, but in their essence are the same as me. I am privileged to share my life journey through my photographs." She captures moments of juxtaposition in the play of light and dark, movement and stillness, vibrant color and faded beauty which is then conveyed in her art, drawing the viewer in to experience that moment with her.
