We are a Tampa based gourmet food truck specializing in Colombian arepas. Each arepa is made from whole corn kernels and formed by hand. Truly a labor of love! We also serve handpressed tostones, fresh fish tacos, rice bowls and more. Our sauces, salsas and guacaole are all made from scratch. Our menu is predominately gluten free and we always offer vegetarian and vegan options.

Production Practices
We cook whole corn kernels until soft, grind the corn to make a dough and hand form the individual arepas. We DO NOT use flour of any type.

Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia Nicolas moved to the United States when he was 19 and began working in restaurants around New York City. After moving to Tampa, Nicolas received a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando and has worked at some of the most respected restaurants in Tampa including Bern's Steakhouse.
Melinda moved to St Pete from Central Illinois in 2006 and has almost 20 years of restaurant experience. Together Nicolas and Melinda operate Vamos! full time and live in Tampa with their 3 kids.
