Saaf soap LLC

We started Saaf (which means pure in Turkish) in 2019, after our first international trip as a married couple to Turkey. As you may have experienced, traveling wreaks havoc on your skin. However, shortly after we got to Istanbul, we made our way to the hammam (Turkish bathhouse). It was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had! Our skin felt incredible the rest of the trip.

We decided to bring that hammam experience back home and that's how Saaf was created. We brought soaps, exfoliating mitts, and other products commonly found in the hammam.

How our soaps are different:
-Unlike most soaps on the market, we decided to focus on functionality instead of aesthetics and scents. Each bar helps with specific skin issues (i.e., our Donkey Milk soap is super gentle because it has retinol and a very close pH to the human skin);
-Our handmade soaps are palm oil free. Palm oil is cheaper, but lower quality; plus there are a lot of serious environmental issues that come from palm oil monoculture;
-Our soaps are sulfate, phthalate, paraben, and dye free. Our soaps are not tested on animals, so they’re cruelty free as well;
-Our base ingredients for all our soaps include high quality fats such as coconut oil, olive oil, and shea butter;
-Because of the high fat content in our soaps, all of our soaps are for the face and body.
