We are a small family farm using regenerative practices to raise nutrient-dense proteins for our family and yours. Our current focus is on pasture-raised non-GMO slow growing Freedom Ranger chicken and woodlot raised pork. We also offer pasture-raised non-GMO Thanksgiving turkeys.
Pastured Non Gmo Antibiotic And Hormone Free
Our slow growing chickens are harvested at 9 to 12 weeks. This gives them extra time out in the sun to be consuming the nutritious buffet provided by the pasture. Some customers have suggested this creates a flavor closer to turkey. They are moved to fresh grass daily and given a local non-gmo ration.
The pastures for our poultry are rotationally grazed by a small flock of sheep. This practice has greatly improved the quality of our pasture, thereby improving the nutritional value of our chickens' food.
We move our pigs through a mixed-woodlot. They are also given a local non-gmo ration that is fermented in raw milk. The pigs love to eat everything off the forest floor, especially mast from oaks, hickories, and persimmons. We are introducing other species that will add to their diet such as locust and mulberry.
