Hello, I'm Joan! I fell in love with growing flowers while working at an urban flower farm in St. Louis, MO, in the 2018 season, and haven't stopped since. Every season and every crop is a new lesson, and I love the challenge of learning the nuances of each crop. My partner Andy and I work to make our little market garden a reality, using sustainable practices like low-till, using our own compost system, and growing as many natives in our landscape as possible. By day, I am a horticulturist at a natives garden on a nature reserve, and ecological gardening methods that help build soil, sustain wildlife, and conserve water are central to our growing.
I look forward to all the pretty flowers, arranging, and lighting up people's faces with smiles as they see and smell our flowers!
