City of Indianapolis Office of Sustainability
Vendor
Our office was established in 2009 and is a division of the City’s Department of Public Works. Our team administers Thrive Indianapolis, the city’s first sustainability and resiliency action adopted under Mayor Hogsett’s leadership in 2019. Thrive prioritizes community collaboration to achieve equity in policy, planning, and project implementation and guides the path to citywide carbon neutrality by 2050. Our team also promotes an environmentally sustainability Indianapolis through an air quality improvement initiative (Knozone), an electric vehicle education and awareness campaign (Highly EVolved), and a benchmarking and transparency program (Thriving Buildings).
