About

Hi! My name's Brandi and I've been in the business of weaving hammock chairs since 1997. I was taught by a family member who was a sailor and have traveled all over the north & southwest attending various arts & crafts shows since 1998.
On an upright loom using a single diamond weaving technique with cotton/poly cord of various colors I create the woven body of the hammock chair. Using another loom apparatus I attach the lead lines to the woven body following my comfort specific parabolic pattern enabling me to control the comfort design of each one of our hammocks. The eyelets created by the end of the lead lines are then wrapped and the woven part of the chair is complete. The weight distribution bar is made from mahogany decking that is cut, drill, sand, router and stamped with my logo. 100% solid braid polyester cord is cut to length using a rope cutter. This is what is used to attach the woven body to the wood bar. The top of the polyester rope is fed through the metal bridle ring to complete the hammock chair to the appropriate hardware from whichever location you wish to hang it.

Born and raised in Canada, I've traveled all over North America before making Idaho my home. I'm a working artist who travels attending various arts and craft shows selling my handmade hammock chairs and upcycled hats. My favorite title hands down is 'Mom'- powered by love, fueled by coffee, sustained by wine! My life motto these days is to 'be kind, work hard, stay humble, smile often, keep honest, stay loyal, travel when possible, never stop learning, be thankful always and love'.
