Maxi is a family business inspired by our Colombian roots. We started in Connecticut seven years ago with an ambitious goal to create the best corn empanadas and shareable plates. After many attempts, feedback from customers, changes to process and understanding how our products are perceived by people from different cultures, we can proudly say that we bring a business model that will succeed in the Tampa Bay market.
Most of the empanadas in the area, if not all, are flour based. Our empanadas are gluten free 100% corn which makes it a great option for more people. The crunch/crispiness our corn based dough provides is unmatchable. The fillings are diverse to satisfy different customers including vegetarians but also meat and cheese lovers.

He has a strong background in business development and recruitment working across different industries for companies like Facebook (Meta) and most recently leading the recruiting org for Forward Financing a Fintech firm that has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Boston.
