I was a dental assistant for years before deciding to be a full-time stay at home mom. Well the kids are grown, out of the house and recently married. I decided not to go back to the dental field because it has become so corporate. I knew I’d miss that small private practice feel. So what to do with all of this time on my hands? I always wanted to learn macrame. And so I did at age 51 and I love it. I’ve made items for family and friends who keep telling me I should try selling to the public. I found Etsy overwhelming and I make larger items that I didn’t want to ship. So I decided to sell local. After moving to Florida and seeing all the weekend festivals and shows and markets, I thought what better way to offer my macrame items locally!
