I'm an oil painter. My process of painting is pretty simple. Most of the time I begin with a photograph to use as a reference point. I never create an exact replica of a photo, but instead I use creativity and imagination to enhance the photo. After deciding which direction a piece will take (impressionistic or realistic), I create! My large landscape pieces are actually inspired by the magnificent clouds I see all around me daily. While my wildlife and animal art comes purely from my heart - whimsical or realistic. Many of the whimsical animal paintings are done in "mini" size - 5 x 7 or 6 x 6.
