Hanks Cinnamon Buns

Hank McCoy’s love of baking goes back to when he was just 7 years old. At a time
when children his age are just beginning to grasp mathematics and counting, a young
Hank was in the kitchen learning how to convert ounces to grams and pounds to
kilograms through his love of baking with his mom. Although Hank has always had a
love of baking, for years he only looked at it as a hobby. As a music producer and DJ by
trade, Hank would bake occasionally for his family and anytime someone made a
special request for a specific dessert. He had no idea the exceptionally natural talent
he had for it!
In early 2020, a pandemic hit and quite literally forced the entire world to pause. With
mandated quarantine and social distancing the new normal, packed parties and other
events (that would normally require a skilled DJ) were also put on pause. With no end in
sight, and hunkered down at home with his family, Hank turned to his hobby to keep his
days occupied. He would take “in house” requests and routinely baked a unique and
delicious dessert every Sunday. All his delicious baked good were completely from
scratch – nothing store bought or pre-made in this budding Baker’s house! One day, his
fiancée requested her favorite dessert, cinnamon buns (yum ). Hank made cinnamon
buns before, but never for her. He wanted them to be perfect. He spent weeks working
with his younger brother to develop and test his recipe until he thought it was perfect.
When he finally presented her the finished product, she took one bite, closed her eyes,
and shook her head in pure happiness and exclaimed, “You need to sell these!
Everyone needs to know what heaven tastes like!”. Fast forward one year, many
months of testing and perfecting, and slowly discovering his absolute love of making
dough, Hank’s Cinnamon Buns was born.
