About
We own and operate a family farm located in Wilsons, VA which is in western Dinwiddie County. At the core of our operation is a 100% grass fed and grass finished cattle herd composed of both dairy and beef cattle. Our beef is USDA inspected and processed for sale to the public and our milk is available via a herd share membership. In addition, we run a pastured layer and broiler component selling eggs, whole, half, and cut up chicken. We use zero herbicide, pesticide, or synthetic fertilizers on any of our farm ground and our poultry is supplemented with non GMO feed. Honey is produced on farm from our hives which are primarily kept for pollination of our rotationally grazed and intensively managed fields. We grow our own forage, alfalfa, and grass hay rotating ground into fruit, potato, and vegetable production for one year at a time, as a way to manage pests and other issues associated with continuous cropping. Our beef, chicken, and eggs are available in several Richmond retail stores and we really want to expand into local, direct, farmers markets.

Jim and Cyrille are passionate about caring for and creating healthy soil which in turn grows us healthy crops and stock. Our belief is that chemicals have no place in our foods, so that's how we farm. Our farm is constantly growing and learning using lessons from others practicing pasture based animal raising, cover cropping, soil and water conservation practices, and working in harmony with Mother Nature. Jim grew up working for several different farming operations and has applied lessons learned to continue to improve our operation. Cyrille manages many of the daily poultry and cattle care including pasture rotation, egg collection, cleaning, inspection, and packaging. She also coordinates customer orders and everyone is involved with order prep and delivery days.
