I am a native Detroiter, Graduated from Cooley High and later obtained 2 master degrees from Wayne State University. I own 3 homes in the City of Detroit. I started my online store last year to provide an alternative product, especially for black & brown shoppers who desire "high end" handbags and fashion, without having to take out a loan to purchase. For years I have spent countless dollars on high end fashion ranging from Louie Vuitton, Chanel and other designers, without any appreciation from these companies. I have researched suppliers in China, Canada and Italy that manufactures quality handbags and fashion without the hefty price tag. I will be adding candles, hats and more jewelry to my site.
For as long as I can remember I have had an interest in fashion. However, I chose a more secure profession in public government. I have a MSW and MPA degree. I spent many years in management, working at the Friend of the court as a supervisor. I am an empty nester, one son away at college in Chicago, studying acting. I also own a few rental properties in the City of Detroit, offering families affordable housing. I love the Eastern Market and it is my hope that this application will be approved. I would love to offer visitors my products. Right now my business is still new and evolving. This opportunity at the Eastern Market will not only increase retail sales but I will also be giving back to my community. I live in West Village and pride myself on being a loyal Detroit resident. I could have lived in the suburbs, but I chose to stay where I am most comfortable which is around black and brown people that look like me.
