I’ve been in operation for nine years; I make bags, purses, wallets and slippers. I love using sustainable materials like cork bark, waxed canvas and cotton, although I do use leather from time to time. I place a high value on excellence in the things I make and use high quality materials so my products can be used for years and look professionally made. My studio is located in my home in Anderson, where I love participating in the community through my work and community life. This year I’ve received a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission and my project is learning to make shoes. I strive to continually grow and push my skills and love by collaborating with customers on pieces they’ll highly value!
I attended Anderson University where I majored in psychology and art. I never meant to use my art professionally but have always found it bubbling to the surface whether as a freelance photographer or now in my Jumping Pineapple business. Jumping Pineapple began as a much needed creative outlet while I had two young children, but has grown into a full time business. I enjoy creating in my studio on my own but also love the interaction between customers, my products and me. While the majority of my sales come from online, since giving the Anderson City Market a try several years ago I’ve found these interactions really valuable to my creative process.
