Lindsay Rae Art is a small art business, created and operated by Lindsay Short. As a mixed media artist, Lindsay uses a multitude of materials to bring her creations to life, often integrating natural materials into her pieces. Working mostly on wooden canvases (with acrylic paint), pressed flowers and leaves are used to add texture and vibrancy to her paintings, then finalized with a layer of resin. Lindsay hand presses all of her florals, a large portion come from her own private garden, as well as flower farms throughout Idaho. Her works largely focus on showcasing the diversity of the female form, as well as its connection to nature.
Lindsay Rae is a mixed media artist based in Meridian, Idaho. Beginning to draw as soon as she could hold a pencil, Lindsay contemplated going to art school, but ultimately decided to study International Studies and French at the University of Idaho, while continuing to create in her free time. After working in Washington D.C for 5 in the international development field, but moved back to Idaho, Lindsay decided to quit the typical 9-5 life, and move back to Idaho to pursue art full time. As an Idaho native, she has always drawn inspiration from nature and uses her creations to illustrate the human connection to the natural world.
