Just two friends that love to play board games, who decided to open a bottle of wine and make one for fun… or so we thought. Almost 4 [not so easy] years later, we have HIDE YOUR NUTS!
We wanted to create a game that could potentially be loved and played by all… so it was important to us that it was easy to learn (who likes to read a novel of instructions??), but also had enough strategy to make people want to keep playing it. We also made a few one-of-a-kind cards to add to the excitement of the gameplay
Secondly, who doesn’t love a little humor with their gameplay?? When designing the cards we wanted them to appear cute and innocent, while also playing into all the innuendos that accompany hiding your ‘hairy nut’ in your ‘nutsack’. The game and design are mostly kid-friendly since much of the humor goes over young kiddos’ heads, but ultimately the target audience is young-adults to adults.
Packaged small enough to be able to quickly throw in your bag or purse for a weekend away, camping, a friends’ game nights or family vacations… Hide Your Nuts is perfect for all occasions!
Ashley and Ariel
Ashley & Ariel are first-time game designers who met working for a school district in metro-Detroit. They bonded over a shared love of playing games and have been best friends ever since. This friendship grew into a business partnership which led to the creation of Hide Your Nuts.
Ashley is a school-based occupational therapist from Bay City, MI. She grew up in a family that loves playing board games, yard games, sports and all things competitive. She is known for being creative, goofy and energetic.
Ariel is a school-based speech language pathologist from Rives Junction, MI. She grew up playing games and can prove it by her floor-to-ceiling collection of games. Ariel is known for being passionate, caring and always having her ducks in a row.
