This hidden beauty has been transformed into The Heart of the Rose Healing Center, which is located in Portland's upbeat Mississippi district. Reaching Roots Body Therapy provides a safe, tranquil, restorative space that opens your mind and all your senses which brings conscious awareness to oneself.

At times, we lose awareness of how to interpret what our bodies are trying to tell us. Deciphering the language of our nervous system, and how it communicates, can be difficult for its subtleties are complex. We need to understand that our bodies are always working to keep us in balance, thus enabling a truly cohesive state in which to work. A range of massage therapy techniques deeply rooted in functional anatomy, precise kinesiology, and a strong intuitive sense, create a synergy which allows access to the multiple layers of the bodies tissues and reaches the root cause of an issue. Restoring the balance brings rapid healing and relief from pain or injury.

Specialized massage therapist, Jason Newman, is a graduate from East West College of Healing Arts. Passionately invested in touch therapies, Jason fuses a wide range of modalities from deep tissue and neuromuscular techniques, to the more gentle craniosacral and Swedish techniques. He is also driven in continuing his knowledge in shamanic practices and the energetic bodywork through Reiki. Jason invites all the knowledge he has received from his numerous teachers and mentors alike to design a personalized treatment that meets the needs of the client’s body. His intentions are always client focused by holding a grounded, safe, and nurturing space for the mind to quiet and the body to heal. The strengthening of the mind-body awareness is the key fundamental in his practice. Jason is intently present with his clients and works from a centered place of compassion and curiosity for the human body’s incredible ability to heal through therapeutic touch.
