Nearly twenty years ago, I began filling my summers off from the school system with residential building projects. Working alongside a fellow teacher and mentor, I built additions, garages and carried out remodels. After my grandfather passed away, I made a special discovery of neatly stored building plans in my grandfather’s desk drawer. Inspired to bring one of the plans to life as a connection to his grandfather, my first build was an Adirondack chair. To this day, I still use mt grandfather’s Adirondack chair plans. With an appreciation of natural beauty and interest in repurposing for the sake of new life, I have created many pieces that span many design styles, with my favorite being rustic. In my pieces, I enjoy bringing out the perfectly imperfect beauty that nature provides.
