Bruce and Katherine Johnson started Dragonfly Farms in 2007 on a 54 acre farm in Central Virginia. They began their business of producing quality grassfed beef on forage alone by focusing on breeding selection, grazing management, animal welfare and environmental stewardship. Today, they are currently grazing 440 acres and managing a beautiful herd of grassfed and grass finished cattle from birth to butcher. The beef from Dragonfly Farms is well marbled and flavorful, and brings customers back year after year. Dragonfly Farms does all of this while using regenerative grazing practices and has won environmental stewardship awards.
