Our Daily Bread is a small. artisanal, family owned and operated bakery nestled between New York’s Hudson Valley and Capital District.
In 1977 Our Daily Bread Bakery was born in the rail road town of Chatham -we began baking traditional artisan hearth loaves in European style & delivering them to Union Square. Not much has changed since then- we use time honored, basic hand made techniques. We support local farmers by using 50% local grains in our breads. We bake through the night to deliver oven fresh loaves and mouthwatering buttery pastries. Find us at farmer’s markets restaurants and select delivery services in and around the Hudson Valley, Capital District, Western Mass and New York City.
In 2011, we opened The Gluten-Free Bakery to meet the increasing demand of many customers seeking healthy alternatives and hungry for fresh gluten-free products. We hired our artisan bread baker Tim, who dedicated months to create a gluten-free bread and pastry line we loved, using basic ingredients and techniques adopted from a lifetime steeped in old-world baking traditions. We work every day to ensure that we deliver fresh and delicious loaves to everyone eating a healthy, gluten-free diet. We are certified gluten-free and kosher and are committed to making the highest quality hand-baked goods. We obtain our starting materials from a variety of reliable, gluten-free sources, using whole grain flours, many organic, non-GMO, local, and regional ingredients.
