13 Stars Design is craftsman Joel Paul, green woodworker and teacher of hand tool woodcraft.
Spoons, bowls, chairs, and various other traditional items are made using freshly felled logs as a raw material, and by using strictly sharp hand tools such as the axe, adze, drawknife, froe, carving gouges, knives, and chisels.
At market Joel will sell handmade wares as well as demonstrate their making at the chopping block or shavehorse, allowing market visitors the chance to witness the craft techniques of a bygone age.
Classes are available to take at 13 Stars Farm in Stratham and visitors may sign up at market.
