Erica Hermsen
Growing up riding horses in the foothills of the Cascades, Erica’s early connection to nature led her to pursue degrees in Environmental Education and Conservation Biology. Erica has worked as a camp counselor, nature school teacher, consultant, and environmental scientist for several organizations, but she has a soft spot for her time as an educator at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo. During her graduate studies, Erica spent two summers researching cheetahs in Kenya. Her love of wildlife, children, and nature inspired her to create EverWild Forest School as part of her dream to inspire the next generation to care for each other and the world. Erica is active in the Treasure Valley community, serving as a board member for the Idaho Environmental Education Association (IdEEA) and an advisor with the Garden City Early Learning Collaborative (division of the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children).
